Consumer view

Overview​

Consumer view is Signals' cluster-wide drill-down into consumer group risk.

Operational risk​

An opinionated grouping around checks that are aimed at reducing risk to consumer group stability and processing reliability. Right now it includes just 1 check - Unbalanced member assignments - which detects consumer groups where partition assignments are unevenly distributed across members.

Efficiency​

Checks aimed at highlighting opportunities to reduce resource usage.Currently, contains just 1 check - Idle consumer members - which highlights consumer groups where the member-to-partition ratio exceeds 2.0x (warning) or 5.0x (error) members that consume resources without processing messages.
